FOUNDER/ HEAD COACH


With over 10+ years in the fitness industry as both coach and athlete, Lisa started beSTRONG to give people the knowledge and confidence they need to excel in their fitness journey. 

​

For me, it's not about being the strongest, the fastest or the fittest, I have always naturally been an active kid. It's always been about moving my body and chasing the thrill of something new. I have an urge to be good at all sports that I play! Through this, I've learnt that exercise can be fun and that health and movement are always a number one priority - you can't enjoy yourself if you're hurting. 

Want to get motivated and see results? Do something you love doing. It's that simple.

I've been coaching and playing sports in tandem for as long as I can remember. My greatest moments are always when I see one of my clients achieving something they never thought possible. I feel incredibly lucky that I've been able to work with athletes at all levels - those on their first steps towards health and wellbeing and athletes competing at an international level.

I have been involved with sports for 40 years. The sports I currently enjoy are strength training, trail running, mountain biking, open water swimming and triathlons.  I love challenging myself, to see what I can accomplish physically and mentally. 

I think this is why my favourite sport is endurance running. 
It is a balance of both, and the reason I began strength training.

 

I realized that strength training would help me to be able to do all the sports I love longer in life. And it turns out that I love my time strength training too!

 

I have so many goals and bucket list races to train for. And along the way, I'd like to start working with and inspiring those who are new to running and those who want to learn more about blending the strength and endurance world together for health, fun, injury prevention and longevity. 

 

If I’m not out with my little Dog, Rudy you will find me out and about with Hubby on the back of the motorbike. We love travelling around on it. The coolest trip was to Moab for our wedding anniversary a few years ago. We rented mountain bikes and rode the red rock. So sweet.

 

Best thing about exercise - is the confidence I have gained and the friends I have made.

I was 17 and really lost after high school, I was joining a gym and so nervous. Once I joined that gym and got into a regular fitness routine, a lot of things changed for me. I became more confident, I had more energy, and became more motivated in many aspects of my life.

 

I love that I get to be a part of other people's fitness journeys - as I know how intimidating starting one can be!

You'll find me located in Squamish most of the time, but I look forward to helping all clients at beSTRONG Training get set up, scheduled and ready to go.

Being healthy and active is a priority in my life. I grew up playing team sports and training with. weights to enhance performance. In addition, I studied holistic nutrition to supplement my athletic lifestyle. Upon completion of my undergraduate and nutrition schooling, I moved to the West Coast where I fell in love with the mountains and the sports and fitness opportunities they offer. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and strongly believe movement and exercise

Diana Ramirez

Diana Carolina is a passionate certified fitness group instructor and
personal trainer. She started very young taking dance classes until she
became a professional dancer and choreographer.

She has performed with a lot of famous singers, TV shows, commercials, videoclips, and live concerts in Mexico and some places in the USA as well.
She is a multifaceted woman, her career has taken her to do and learn
many things. She also has a degree in fashion design, she has worked as a
choreographer, staff coordinator, and assistant producer in many
performances and live shows.


As a dancer, she has been close to pilates all her life but after knee
surgery, she started to be more interested in pilates and gym routines to
recover herself. She fell in love with the fitness world and started to study
several courses, diplomas, and certificates.


She thinks knowledge never ends and now she is studying a degree in
nutrition. You will see how her dance background has given her a magnificent
body awareness that will help you to learn how to do exercises properly.
She is certificated in personal training, sports nutrition, body conditioning,
pilates, barre, functional training, bodybuilding, pre and post-pregnant, to
mention a few.


She just won a fitness bodybuilding competition back in Mexico and she
believes that every person has a different body and path but everybody
can achieve their goals by pushing themselves through their limits with
love but discipline as well.

Hayley Mrsic
(She/Her)

Hayley is a Certified Personal Trainer who specializes in Corrective Exercise through the BioMechanic Method. 

 

She graduated from Infofit Career College and received a diploma in Personal Training as well as a certification through the American Council on Exercise. Hayley loves to learn - she is always furthering her education! She is currently taking a Sports Performance specialization course. Her goal is to continue enhancing her knowledge as she strives to give every client the best service possible. 

 

Hayley grew up playing high-level soccer and track and field. Her passion for fitness started at a young age. Through her teens she struggled with several injuries, hindering her ability to move forward in her sport. It wasn't until she was an adult that she realized the power that weight lifting has. Whether it's injury prevention or dealing with acute pain, Hayleys goal is to help everybody achieve pain-free movement. 

 

Throughout her time being a Personal Trainer Hayley has coached beginners to athletes and everyone in between. She has developed an eye for detecting movement compensations and correcting imbalances, always teaching her clients the best way to move specific to their body. Hayley has an understanding that different people have different requirements, always individualizing each client's program to their needs and preferences. 

 

Hayley strives to build connections with all her clients - giving everyone a positive, constructive, and fun training experience.

Carley Gottschalk
(She/Her)

COACH

 

Like many, Carley grew up partaking in various recreational and competitive sports such as gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, soccer - the list goes on. With that, she has also had her fair share of injuries. As frustrating and lengthy recovery was, it really allowed her to take a step back to see how important it is to be moving our bodies and treat the movement we endure with gratitude. 

 

Carley exercises for longevity, to be strong both mentally and physically but ultimately, because she LOVES it. There is nothing quite like a boost of endorphins to kickstart your day but also knowing she is putting herself in the best position to be healthy and happy for a very long time is incredible. She strives to push herself to be better every day, in all aspects of her life.

 

Carley hopes she can inspire and work alongside those who inspired her. Changing the narrative that exercise is something we HAVE to do into something we WANT to be doing for ourselves, as she believes it’s the highest level of self-respect.

 

When not at the gym, you’ll still find Carley in her go-to leggings (She's a comfort over style kind of gal) creating memories with friends, family and snuggling her fur baby Ollie.
