About the event

Join founder of beSTRONG - Lisa for an educational evening on Menstruation, Strength Training and Nutrition. 

This presentation is an ideal night out designed for all ages - if you're just about to or recently started menstruating or have been menstruating for many years and want to learn in an open, judgement free zone about your body, your cycle and how it impacts sport and performance. 

We will cover:

1. Phases of the Menstrual Cycle - predominant hormones + common experiences on and off of birth control.

2. Strength Training - the importance of strength training at all ages and stages. Key movement patterns when building a program.  

3. Nutrition - Macro and Micronutrients. Understand energy balance and how to support sport and recovery with nutrition.
